The first Christmas parcels of this year's campaign are probably already packed and ready for transport. On a sunny late-autumn day, employees of the e-wikom Group came together to prepare Christmas gifts for children in Ukraine. The connection with Mission Siret was established last year during a fundraising presentation, after which employees of E-Werk Wanfried donated Christmas parcels for the first time. As the campaign had been so well received, the company decided to extend the initiative across the entire group, inspiring colleagues at e-wikom to take part as well.
Mission Siret is currently collecting Christmas parcels for children and young people in Ukraine for the fifth year in a row, with support from individuals, church congregations, associations, schools, kindergartens and Johanniter Aid Communities across Germany. Last year, around 6,000 parcels were collected, which our volunteers and partners were able to distribute to Ukrainian girls and boys, bringing them a little joy amid the challenges of everyday life during the war.
