The rehabilitation clinic in Vaskivtsi, Ukraine, has completed the renovation of its kitchen wing, which was made possible in part by a project-related donation of €10,000 to "Mission Siret".
Since the beginning of the war, doctors and nursing staff have had to treat significantly more people in the clinic. In addition to the 30 paliative patients, there are now also 50 patients for rehabilitation treatment. More patients also means more meals for the clinic, which have to be cooked in the in-house kitchen.

However, the old kitchen and its equipment dated back to the Soviet era and was not designed to meet the new requirements, neither structurally nor in terms of equipment. It was therefore necessary to completely renovate it. The rehab clinic made this renovation and new construction possible with its own funds, while the new equipment was financed from donations.
With modern kitchen appliances and new stainless steel furniture, the canteen kitchen is now equipped so that up to 300 meals a day can be prepared by the staff.
