We choose freedom’ - this was the motto of this year's “Cafe Kyiv”, at which “Mission Siret” was represented for the second time.

With around 5,000 visitors and over 100 individual formats, the event organised by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation is one of the largest pro-Ukraine events in Europe, bringing together players from politics, science and social affairs. This also includes ‘Mission Siret’.

In one of the first events of the day, Franz-Leopold Saitz and Joachim Ebmeyer presented the work and projects of the mission in a 15-minute pitch. However, the two were by no means the only representatives of ‘Mission Siret’. More than 10 former volunteers and helpers then attended other events at the packed ‘Cafe Kyiv’ as ambassadors of the mission and handed out flyers. The talks were not only about looking for more volunteers, but also about presenting ‘Mission Siret’ as a platform for other initiatives and finding new partner organisations in and from Ukraine.

In addition to many interesting discussions, ‘Mission Siret’ representatives also had the opportunity to meet the Ukrainian ambassador Oleksii Makeiev. (HGR)
