From the airport to the university

This is the first time that donations have reached our warehouse in Siret on a low-loader trailer: At the beginning of the week, two so-called "Ground Power Units" (GPU) were delivered there from Stuttgart Airport. "Mission Siret" has arranged for the mobile generators to be delivered to the University of Chernivtsi, where they will bridge the power supply in the event of power cuts in future.

Ground power units supply aircraft with electricity for the cockpit, air conditioning and galley when the aircraft are on the ground. By the middle of this year, Stuttgart Airport will gradually renew the energy supply on the apron, then the aircraft will be supplied with electricity in such a way that no more exhaust fumes are produced - either via underground power cables or via battery-operated ground power units. The diesel GPUs that are no longer needed can now be used in the Ukraine.
